On Saturday at Keeneland, the stakes action will continue with the $100,000 Giant’s Causeway Stakes. Scheduled to be run at five and a half furlongs on the turf, the stakes race has drawn an overflow field of fourteen fillies and mares.
For handicappers hoping to glean some major Kentucky Derby insight, the trio of grade 1 races on April 9, including the Blue Grass, Wood Memorial and Santa Anita Derby,was inconclusive at best.

The $100,000 Rushaway is the first of three stakes races on the April 2 card at Turfway Park, with 11 three year-old rivals set to contest the mile and a sixteenth event on the main track.
On Saturday at Fair Grounds, the featured race is the $1 million Louisiana Derby. Restricted to three-year-olds, the Grade 2 event offers points towards a spot in the Kentucky Derby and will be run at a mile and an eighth on the main track.
On Sunday at Aqueduct, the featured race is the $125,000 Stymie Stakes. Carded at a mile and an eighth on the main track, the stakes race has drawn a field of six colts and geldings.
