On Saturday at Woodbine, some of the most promising juvenile turf fillies in North America will compete in the 50th running of the $200,000 Natalma Stakes. The Grade 2 race, a key prep for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, will be run at one mile and has drawn a full field of twelve. 
There are three graded stakes races on the Churchill Downs card September 6, but the lone non-graded stakes race of the day – the $100,000 Locust Grove – features four graded stakes winners in the field of seven fillies and mares. 
On Saturday at Churchill Downs, some of the most promising juveniles in the country will compete in the 33rd edition of the Iroquois Stakes. With a purse of $100,000, the Grade 3 race has drawn a field of nine to compete at a mile and a sixteenth on the main track. 
The 145th running of the Grade I $1,250,000 Travers Stakes features a powerful field of three year-old colts that includes the Haskell winner, the Belmont Stakes winner, the Jim Dandy winner, and the Belmont Derby Winner. 
The stakes action at Saratoga on Saturday kicks off with the 26th running of the Grade 2 Ballston Spa Stakes. The mile and a sixteenth contest will be run over the Inner Turf Course and offers a purse of $250,000. 
Arlington Million day stakes action kicks off in race number five at Arlington Park August 16 with the $75,000 Hatoof for three year-old fillies at a mile and a sixteenth on the turf. 
On Saturday at Arlington Park, some of the best grass fillies and mares will compete in the 25th running of the $750,000 Beverly D. Stakes. The Grade 1 event will be run at a mile and three-sixteenths on the turf and has drawn a field of eleven. 
On Saturday at Saratoga, turf milers will take center stage in the 30th running of the $500,000 Fourstardave Handicap. The Grade 2 race will be contested on the inner turf course and has drawn a field of six, though it is most notably missing reigning champion Wise Dan. 
Stakes action at Saratoga August 7 features a true oddity in North American racing: horses going a mile and three fourths on the dirt.
