Though the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Mile lost some of its luster with the defection of two-time champion Wise Dan, the Grade 1 race has drawn a competitive, full field of fourteen with one additional on the also-eligible race to compete in the one mile turf event. 
The eighth running of the $1 million Juvenile Turf kicks off Breeders’ Cup action at Santa Anita Park Friday, October 31 as a field of 14 is set to contest the one mile race on the grass. 
On Sunday at Churchill Downs, the featured race is the $58,000 Rags to Riches Stakes. The one mile contest has drawn a field of ten two-year-old fillies. 
On Sunday at Woodbine, fillies and mares will take center stage in the 58th edition of the $500,000 E.P. Taylor Stakes. The Grade 1 race will be run at a mile and a quarter on the turf and has drawn an international field of eight. 
The $250,000 Maid of the Mist Stakes October 18 at Belmont Park features a field of nine two-year old fillies going a mile on dirt. 
On Monday at Belmont Park, a field of eight fillies and mares is set to compete in the 2nd edition of the $100,000 Punkin Pie Stakes. Restricted to fillies and mares that have not won a graded stakes in 2014, the race will be run at seven furlongs on the main track. 
On Saturday at Belmont Park, the $500,000 Hill Prince Stakes has drawn a field of ten with an international flair. Restricted to three-year-olds, the Grade 3 race will be run at a mile and an eighth on the inner turf course. 
The featured race of the October 3 opening day card at Keeneland is the Grade 1 $400,000 Darley Alcibiades as thirteen two-year old fillies are scheduled to run the mile and a sixteenth race on the main track in a fantastic betting event. 
On Saturday at Delaware Park, the track will showcase three-year-old turf horses in the 60th running of the $150,000 Kent Stakes. The Grade 3 race will be run at a mile and an eighth on the grass and has drawn a field of seven.
