The $200,000 Grade II Amsterdam Stakes, a bucket list race for three year-old sprinters, kicks off an enticing pick four sequence July 26 at Saratoga that also includes the Jim Dandy Stakes. 
On Friday at Del Mar, a field of eleven long-distance specialists will head to the gate in the 62nd running of the Cougar II Handicap. With Grade 3 status and a purse of $100,000, the race will be run at a mile and a half over the synthetic main track. 
On Sunday at Saratoga, a field of six of the top three-year-old fillies in the country will compete in the $500,000 Coaching Club American Oaks. Contested at a mile and an eighth, the Grade 1 event is the second jewel of the Triple Tiara.
Juvenile fillies will take center stage on Sunday at Los Alamitos in the $100,000 Cinderella Stakes. The race will be contested at six furlongs and as part of the track’s first Thoroughbred meet in 23 years and has drawn a field of six fillies. 
The Grade III $150,000 Stars and Stripes Stakes is part of Million Preview Day July 12 in Chicago which features four graded stakes races on the turf. 
This Saturday at Parx Racing is the $200,000 Parx Dash Handicap, a Grade 3 turf sprint contested at five furlongs on the lawn. Headlining the field of ten is the popular Ben’s Cat who is attempting to win the Parx Dash Handicap for the third consecutive year.
The Delaware Park Oaks will be contested on Saturday at Delaware Park. The Grade 2 race for three-year-old fillies has attracted a field of eight to compete for $300,000 in the mile-and-a-sixteenth event. 
The 1 million dollar, Grade I Belmont Oaks has unique international flavor as part of the inaugural Stars & Stripes card at Belmont Park July 5. 
The $125,000 Iowa Sprint Handicap on Friday at Prairie Meadows may have only drawn a field of six in the six-furlong contest, but it has attracted a quality group of older males. Carrying a high weight of 120 pounds will be graded stakes winner Delaunay.
