On Sunday at Keeneland, the featured race is the $125,000 Rood and Riddle Dowager Stakes. Scheduled to be run at a mile and a half on the turf, the Grade 3 event has attracted a field of ten fillies and mares.

Kitten’s Point tops the field as the heavy favorite at odds of 8-5 and is one of two fillies in the race for trainer Graham Motion. A five-year-old daughter of Kitten’s Joy bred and owned by George Strawbridge, Jr.’s Augustin Stables, she has won six of her eighteen starts and is a multiple graded stakes winner. She has three victories so far this year and was last seen winning the Mrs. Penny Stakes at Parx. Edgar Prado will be in the irons and they will break from the rail.

Also in the field at morning line odds of 12-1 is Interject, a longshot for trainer Neil Drysdale. A four-year-old daughter of Empire Maker, the four-year-old filly began her career in Europe and has won a total of two of her ten starts.
